I am getting ready to release the pattern for this wonderfully drapey, knitted cowl, BUT I am struggling to come up with a name for it and need your help!

The cowl uses Indian Cross mock cables to show off the lovely soft Tencel Tape yarn by Prism Yarns that comes in many, many different colors.

I’ve used the colors

  • #Begonia (on the left)
  • #Maui (on the right)

for the two samples to show a more subdued color combination and a fun, bright color splash with this stitch pattern.

You can wear the cowl single or doubled up.

Post your name suggestion in the comments below by Tue evening, Mar 22, and if I pick your pattern name, I will gift you a copy of the PDF pattern when it becomes available. 🙂

So, let me see what you can come up with. Good luck!

The first thought that came to mind as soon as I saw it was “oceans of fire”. The bright blue showing through under the overwhelming reds to pinks is very striking. I can almost ignore the greens, they’re just in the background helping the ocean break through the fire. I went back and forth between “oceans of fire” and oceans in fire” but for me the sound of “of” fit much better.

    Just beautiful!!
